Thank you for visiting Inverse Firearms. We have a long history in firearm purchasing and sales nationwide. Our goal is to provide a fair and easy process to sell us just one gun, a large collection or estate. Over the last 17 years we have purchased and sold thousands of firearms while providing high customer satisfaction. We work hard to make the process as streamlined as possible and maintain a reputation of high integrity.

We are members of the Better Business Bureau (BBB) and fully licensed by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (BATFE) to purchase and sell all types of firearms.We even buy and sell ammunition, firearm related accessories and in some cases military collectables. We also buy and sell all types of firearms from WW I firearms to modern rifles, pistols and shotguns.

In addition to being experts in rifles, pistols and shotguns, we are also dealers in National Firearms Act (NFA) weapons to include Machine Guns, Silencers, Short Barreled Rifles (SBR), Short Barreled Shotguns (SBS) and Any Other Weapons (AOW). We can provide informed appraisals for virtually any type of firearm!

Trent Warncke (President of Inverse Firearms) personally provides all appraisals. His extensive background in firearms sales and purchasing is well suited to providing appraisals for most types of firearms. He can provide an appraisal for one firearm, an entire collection or individuals items for insurance purposes. Yes, we offer a Three-Day Inspection period for all purchased items except ammunition. All we ask is that the customer pays for insured return shipping unless we have somehow misrepresented the items.
We typically use Priority US Mail service for most firearm shipping to an FFL in your state. More valuable ($3,000 or higher) firearms are typically shipped via Registered US Mail service. We keep customers updated through the whole process by providing tracking information.
We use FedEx Ground service. Customers must sign our Ammunition Statement and provide a copy of their state issued Driver’s License before ammunition can be shipped. Customers are kept up-to-date through the whole process via constant tracking updates.
Yes, customers are more than welcome to visit us at our facility in Centerville, OH (South of Dayton), but please know we work by appointment only, so contact us first before arriving. We typically can accommodate most weekdays and weekends.
Yes, customers who are Ohio Residents are more than welcome to pay for and pick up their firearm at our facility in Centerville (south Dayton), but please know we work by appointment only, so please contact us first before arriving. We typically can accommodate most weekdays and weekends. All sales are subject to a BATFE Background Check, Ohio & local Sales Tax and any other legal restrictions that may apply.
Yes, all our NFA weapons can transfer out to your SOT via eForms Form 3. These are typically approved in a few days.
No, we do not offer any specific guarantee or Warranty for any item sold. All concerns must be expressed to Inverse Firearms in writing during the Three-Day inspection period. Please know that all firearms are cleaned and inspected while only test fired if it is felt to be necessary.
Yes, we are happy to pay Finder’s Fees for any referral that leads to a sale.
Insurance will be offered to the customer during purchase of any item for an additional fee. All items are Freight On Board (FOB), but we will assist as best we can if there is any issue.
It is all because of laws passed by the US Congress. In short, supply of Fully Transferable or “Civilian Legal” Machine Guns are limited due to these laws. While these firearms are “Grandfathered” (can be legally bought and sold) there are less than 200,000 in circulation in the US market, no more will be produced and fewer are available as time goes by.
The first step is to contact us via phone or email. We will ask to receive as much information about the firearm(s) as possible, such as pictures and the best description you can provide. Once we have the needed information, we can usually generate a quote within a couple of days. If our offer is accepted the firearm(s) can be shipped to us at our expense. In many cases we can travel to the customer at no additional cost. Local customers are also welcome to bring their firearms to our location in Dayton (Centerville). Once the firearm(s) are received we will send a company check. In person transactions can be paid in cash, if desired. We are a Federally License Firearms Dealer (FFL/SOT) so all purchased firearms are properly accounted for in our system. Our goal is to provide a professional experience for each customer. Please note that to properly log in all received firearms we will need a copy of the seller’s state issued Driver’s License. Rest assured your information be secured and never shared with any person, company or entity.
Yes, we do! Please see our Current Inventory section for a full overview of what is for sale. If you see something you like, we can ship it to another dealer (FFL) in your state or you can arrange to pick it up from our Dayton (Centerville) location.
We buy most

Inverse Firearms only accepts cash, checks or Money Orders.
Definitely! In some areas ammunition is in short supply across the board, however for many of the calibers and configurations our more rare collectibles use the shortage is even greater. If you have mixed ammo of various calibers let us take a look, you could be sitting on money!
